A circuit of our neighbouring cellar doors would take in Inghams Skilly Hills, Eldredge, Stringy Brae, Jeanneret, Skillogalee, Penna Lane, Kilikanoon and Mitchells and would offer world class wines in beautiful surroundings.
Within easy reach are Sevenhill Cellars, Penwortham is home to Pearsons, Watervale to the historic Quelltaler, as well as Stephen John, Crabtrees and Olssons, further south are Brian Barry, Claymore, Clos Clare, Tim Gramp, Grossets, MtHorrocks and Taylors in Auburn.
On the way to Mintaro call in at Pauletts, Wilsons, Pikes, Reilly's, Mintaro Cellars. Head to Clare for Tim Adams, Kirrihill, Knappstein Wines and beer, MtSurmon, Leasingham, Neagles Rock, Cardinham, Phoenix or Jim Barry.Local attractions
Martindale Hall - the ultimate bachelor pad in the grand English style. An absolute must to visit. This was the house used as the school in "Picnic at Hanging Rock".Mintaro Village is a major historical settlement, well worth a stroll.
The Riesling trail follows the old rail line from Clare to Auburn, cycle to your favourite wineries or enjoy a ramble. Wining and Dining
Skillogalee is close, a pleasant walk best done in daylight, a delightful setting, fine wines and good food.Sevenhill Hotel offers a good range of pub grub, superb collection of Clare Valley wines in the cellar and a good local pub atmosphere.

Pizza and much more is available at Corkers in the high street of Clare, open till late Coffee and Cork aka Citadel, opposite the Tim Adams turn off, can also be recommended.Salt'n'Vines offers better than bar food as well as top restaurant meals.
Chinese food is available at the Clare Dragon in Clare, an excellent Chinese. Takeaway is available.
The pubs in Clare all offer food, the Central pub has probably the best range of the three. Bentleys has been recently renovated and can be recommended. The Taminga has just had a major makeover opened July 2008.
